Builds a press kit from your product facts, descriptions, contacts, logo and screenshots: a ready page and a ZIP you can send to journalists or put on your own site. For founders preparing a launch or a pitch.

How to use it

Fill in what you have. Only the product name is required; the checks tell you what a journalist would still miss. The page and the ZIP are built in your browser, and Reavlo does not host them.

  1. Enter the product name, a tagline and the descriptions in three lengths.
  2. Add key facts and a press contact, and add your logo and screenshots if you have them.
  3. Read the findings and fill in what they point out.
  4. Download the ZIP. Open index.html to check it, then send the ZIP or put the unzipped folder on a host you choose.

How Reavlo tests this

The tool plans the files and the page from what you enter, then packs them in your browser. Nothing you enter or add is sent anywhere, and nothing is stored on a server.

  1. Files. The ZIP is flat: index.html, press-kit.txt, your logo and your screenshots, each named from the original file name made safe for any file system. Pictures are packed exactly as you added them, with no re-encoding.
  2. Descriptions. The three descriptions have length limits of 140, 400 and 1,500 characters. These are Reavlo's own limits, chosen to keep each one quick to read, not a rule of any publication.
  3. Checks. The tool looks for a press contact, at least one description, a logo, screenshots and key facts. A missing contact or description is a warning; the rest are notes.
  4. The page. Everything you type is escaped, so it shows as text and never runs. The page has no script and a content policy that blocks any request to another site. A website address is linked only if it starts with https:// or http://.
  5. Size. The files you add can total up to 50 MB, because the ZIP is built in your browser's memory.

Limits. The tool does not check your claims or that you have the right to publish the pictures you add. It does not host the kit or give you a link. Where a saved product profile exists in this browser, the name, website and short description can be filled in from it; nothing is saved unless you press the save button.

Questions

Is my logo or any text uploaded?

No. The files are read, packed and downloaded in your browser, and nothing from them is sent to a server or stored. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, it only records that the tool ran, never what you entered.

Does Reavlo host my press kit?

No. You get a ZIP. Send it by email, or unzip it and put the folder on any host you already use. The page works from a folder on your computer as well.

What should a press kit contain?

A short description a journalist can paste, a few facts they would otherwise ask about, a way to reach you, the logo and one or two screenshots. The checks in this tool follow that list.

Can I fill it in from my saved product?

Yes, if you saved your product in another Reavlo tool on this browser, the name, website and short description are filled in for you and marked as such. Use the button to forget the product at any time.
