Searches Hacker News stories and comments for a product name and builds ready search links for Reddit, X, Google and YouTube, so you can find where people talk about your product. For founders who want to reply, thank or learn from public conversations.

How Reavlo tests this
This tool runs on our server, because a browser cannot call the Hacker News search from your page. Nothing about the request is stored or logged: not the name, not the answer.
Source. The Hacker News Search API by Algolia, a public service that needs no key. The tool sends two requests from our server, one for stories and one for comments, each for the exact phrase, and shows the 20 newest matches of each. The address of the service is fixed in the tool: it is never taken from your input. Nothing is scraped.
Other platforms. Reddit, X, Google and YouTube are not searched by Reavlo. The tool builds a search link for each, with your name as the phrase, and your browser opens it. Those pages are theirs, so what you see there depends on your account and on the platform.
Limits. The service allows a fixed number of requests per hour, and Reavlo shares one budget between all visitors. When the budget is spent, or the service is slow or down, the tool shows what it could get and says which part is missing; it does not retry in the background. A common word as a name finds many unrelated mentions, and a mention is not always about your product. The search finds public posts only, and a post removed from Hacker News does not appear.
Questions
Is the name I enter stored?
No. It goes to our server only to run the search and is neither stored nor written to a log. Analytics records only that the tool ran, never the name.
Why does it search only Hacker News and not Reddit or X?
Hacker News offers a public search service meant for this use. The other platforms do not, and reading their pages would be scraping. The tool gives you the search link instead, which you open yourself.
Why are there mentions that are not about my product?
The search matches the words of the name. A short or common name, such as a common word, matches other uses. Add a second word, such as the company, to narrow it.
Why did one part of the result say it could not be reached?
The Hacker News search service answered slowly, refused because of its request limit, or was down. The other part of the result is still shown. Run it again in a few minutes.
