Crops one image to every size the social and ad platforms ask for, shows each crop before you save it, and warns when the picture is too small for a placement. For anyone preparing a launch image, an ad or a product post.
How to use it
Bring one picture that is at least as large as the biggest placement you need. The crops are made in your browser; the picture is never uploaded.
- Choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image, or drop it into the box.
- Look at the preview of each placement. A dashed outline marks the safe area where Reavlo has one on record.
- Read the findings: they say which placements need a larger picture and which crops cut away much of it.
- Download one crop, or all of them as a ZIP. The file names carry the size.
How Reavlo tests this
The tool plans each crop from the size of your picture and the size of each placement, then draws it in your browser. Nothing about the picture, its pixels or its file name is sent anywhere.
- Sizes come from Reavlo's media specs data. Each placement shows whether its size is the platform's recommended size, an exact requirement or a minimum, and the date it was checked against the platform's own documentation.
- The crop is the largest region of your picture with the shape of the placement, centred. Nothing is stretched. The region is then scaled to the exact size.
- Too small. If the region has fewer pixels than the placement, it is enlarged and the result is flagged, because an enlarged picture looks soft.
- Heavy crop. If a crop discards 40% or more of the picture, the result says so, so you can check that the subject is still in frame.
- Safe areas. Where the data records the part of a placement that platform interface may cover, the crop shows the area left free. Where it does not, no outline is drawn: a guess would look like a fact.
Limits. The data lists the placements that the platforms document with exact pixel sizes. Feed, story and link-card sizes whose documentation gives no pixel values are not listed, and a placement missing here is deliberate. A platform can change a size or crop an image again after upload. Output is PNG, or JPEG where a placement does not accept PNG; transparency is kept in PNG and flattened onto white where a placement does not allow it.
Questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. The picture is read and cropped in your browser and nothing from it is sent to a server or stored. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, it only records that the tool ran, never the picture or its name.
How large can the picture be?
Up to 20 MB, 8,192 pixels on the longest side and 40 million pixels in total. A picture above any of these is refused with a message saying which one, before it is opened.
Why is a placement flagged as too small?
The part of your picture that fits that shape has fewer pixels than the placement needs, so it has to be enlarged. Use a larger original for that placement.
Why is there no safe-area outline?
An outline is drawn only where Reavlo has the platform's own documented values. Where there are none, the tool shows nothing instead of inventing a margin.
